lol, It's just episode 1. They are introducing the new characters and setting the stage for the seasons plot direction. They did the same thing in season 1 with the first couple episodes so I expect they will do it again with this season. Episode 2 (and probably some of 3) will be fairly similar to this episode but from then on it should get more interesting. My only gripe so far is the subtle introduction of mechs they just did. I hope they aren't common in fights and are just for "normie" soldiers that don't have the ability to fight off Phrase without it. This is a magic anime...not mech, hope they keep it that way.
